I am new to this game so i dont think i quite grasp how to play, but i just wanted to say that I'm also having trouble with talking to the npc's. Anytime I try to talk to anyone in the office, the game just kind of freezes.
When I try to take to the receptionist, the game freezes and then crashes.
When I try to talk to the guy in that cubicle to the right of mine, it shifts to some mode that disables my mouse and inserts a white dot in the middle of the screen, and I don't know how to turn it off.
In the lobby, the light next to the kitchen lady (who soft locks me) doesn't seem to have an associated light switch like the other do. Unfortunately it stays perpetually on :(
on v0.8p. Computer still freezes after a couple minutes in the Loading screen, but I think the freeze might be shorter than before, at least for the office. (it probably doesn't help that the game's filesize is enormous, maybe there are files that could/should be compressed and aren't? it starts up quickly enough, and I don't remember the framerate being much of an issue. why does it take so long to load? I'm on Low graphics)
btw the office is the farthest I've gotten so far in this version because clicking on any npc halts the game. it's not frozen, but there's a rotating hourglass in the corner and I can't do anything but zoom and lean. I can't even get to a menu with Escape.
okay, suddenly realized that that hourglass is just there as you're walking around the office forever. a bit unnerving. pausing the game also pauses the hourglass, which is even weirder.
cubicle computer menu seems to work, at least, altho I didn't really mess with it. don't remember enough to be sure whether its UI has changed.
finally got to the elevator and tried loading into a level.
I clicked the button to start the level at 12:03.
at 12:10, I gave up and hit Alt-F4. (and then a couple minutes later hit ctrl-alt-del, and was still staring at a frozen loading screen for a few minutes after that, but thankfully this isn't the third itch.io game to make me resort to holding down the power button)
load times didn't get better. they got worse. (also NEW bugs showed up)
I started poking around in the game's data folder (for god knows what reason bc I do not know what I'm doing and def could've hard-crashed my computer), made a new folder and moved the two biggest "shared assets" files into it (the two biggest files are like an entire gigabyte put together), and ran the game as if this stupid idea would magically pay off.
(first coupla times I did this it just gave me a white screen, but alt-f4 closed it with no fuss so I was feeling cocky)
ig those are where all the textures are cuz the office loaded in quick as you please with no textures 'XD had to quit immediately and put everything back where it was. I for sure couldn't make a first-person game, even just noclipping (funnily enough) freaks me out too much
...my specs are probably pathetic, tbph, but it does run *most* itch games without this issue. ...usually the framerate is just ass.
uhhh HP notebook, amd radeon r4 graphics, 4gb ram ("3.45 usable" wevertf that means), 64bit OS. ...I do badly need a new computer but I'm unhirable 'XD anyway hopefully some of those words are the useful ones

big news, the meeting room light switch is connected to the previously mentioned kitchen light :
game doesnt seem to want to start at all, it keeps closing itself before it can even load up
Got stuck in place trying to talk to an npc. No dialogue, I can tilt left and right and access the tips, but I can't leave the conversation.
Same. A white dot shows up in the middle cf the screen, meaning that this is likely some kind of mode we can turn off but don't know how to

Interacting with coworkers doesn't start the dialogue and traps the player in place, forcing the player to alt+f4

I saw in the 0.7 teaser and 0.7-final trailer video about a "haunted/cursed pc". Is it in the game? If so, where and how do you find it?
I've been looking for it for more than days, I can't find anything, the admins don't say anything and neither does the discord group
i like how its somehow spooky yet makes me hard... 10/10
